The Watchlist
The Companies page is your investable universe — a searchable, filterable table of every company you follow.
The Companies page is the heart of Finance Tracker: a table of every company on your watchlist. It ships pre-seeded with 24 well-known companies so the app is useful from the first start.
Table columns
| Column | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Logo / Name | Brand icon (falls back to initials when no icon exists) and company name |
| Ticker | The stock ticker symbol (AAPL, MSFT, …) — the unique business key everything else links to |
| Exchange / Location / Sector | Where it trades and what it does; filled by the AI add flows, may be empty for quick-added companies |
| Status | Purchase, Sale or Not Invested — kept up to date automatically when you record share transactions |
| Research milestones | Five date columns, one per stage of the research workflow (see Research Milestones) |
Searching and filtering
Use the search box above the table to filter by name or ticker. The table header lets you sort; the column visibility menu hides columns you don't need.
Row menu
Each row has a context menu:
- Financial Analysis — opens the company's research view in place of the list, titled Financial Analysis of <Company>, with Qualitative and Quantitative Research tabs. See Performing Analysis.
- Delete — removes the company. Deleting cascades to its share transactions and stored research.
The ticker is the link between everything: shares, research results and milestones all reference the company by its ticker symbol.
