Financial Analysis

Instructions

Editable preamble texts, managed under Settings, that are prepended before every prompt when an analysis runs.

Settings › Instructions holds three named instruction texts that shape how the AI answers a whole analysis run:

InstructionUsed for
GeneralFallback for any run whose specific instruction is empty
Qualitative ResearchQualitative analysis runs
Quantitative ResearchQuantitative analysis runs

How resolution works

When you perform an analysis, the app picks the instruction for that stage:

  1. the stage's own instruction, if it has text;
  2. otherwise the General instruction, if it has text;
  3. otherwise no preamble at all.

The chosen text is prepended before every prompt in the run, so one sentence — a persona, a tone, a constraint — applies to the whole analysis without editing dozens of prompts.

Editing

Each instruction is a card with an editable Name and a multi-line Instruction field. Leave a stage's instruction empty on purpose to inherit General; empty General means runs go out with the prompt alone.

Keep instructions short and general — they are sent with every prompt of a run, so long texts cost tokens on each of the potentially dozens of AI calls.
