Instructions
Settings › Instructions holds three named instruction texts that shape how the AI answers a whole analysis run:
| Instruction | Used for |
|---|---|
| General | Fallback for any run whose specific instruction is empty |
| Qualitative Research | Qualitative analysis runs |
| Quantitative Research | Quantitative analysis runs |
How resolution works
When you perform an analysis, the app picks the instruction for that stage:
- the stage's own instruction, if it has text;
- otherwise the General instruction, if it has text;
- otherwise no preamble at all.
The chosen text is prepended before every prompt in the run, so one sentence — a persona, a tone, a constraint — applies to the whole analysis without editing dozens of prompts.

Editing
Each instruction is a card with an editable Name and a multi-line Instruction field. Leave a stage's instruction empty on purpose to inherit General; empty General means runs go out with the prompt alone.
Performing Analysis
Run selected prompts against a company through Gemini or OpenAI; results are stored per field, rendered as Markdown and editable by hand.
Qualitative Research
Background explainers on why each qualitative research category — catalysts, history, management, products — matters when evaluating a company.
