Financial Analysis

Performing Analysis

Run selected prompts against a company through Gemini or OpenAI; results are stored per field, rendered as Markdown and editable by hand.

Opening a company's research view

On the Companies table, pick Financial Analysis from a row's menu. The list is replaced by a view titled Financial Analysis of <Company> with three tabs — Qualitative Research, Quantitative Research and Financial Research — each an accordion with one field per prompt.

A field's name turns green once it has saved content, so you can see at a glance which parts of the analysis are done.

Running the analysis

Choose Perform Financial Analysis from the view's menu. The dialog shows a cascading checkbox tree — Financial Analysis → Qualitative / Quantitative / Financial Research → individual prompts — plus the AI provider selector.

For each checked prompt the app:

  1. fills <Company_Name> with the company's name,
  2. prepends the resolved instruction preamble,
  3. asks the chosen provider for a Markdown answer,
  4. stores the result for that company + prompt (re-running overwrites it),
  5. stamps the stage's research milestone.

Prompts run one after another, so a single failure surfaces with a clear message instead of a half-broken batch.

Editing results

Every field shows the rendered Markdown next to an editable source panel — correct, extend or replace the AI's answer and hit Save. Hand edits are kept apart from generated content: they don't carry a model name or generation date.

Partial runs are fine — you can research one prompt at a time. Even a single-prompt run stamps the milestone date.
