Adding Companies

Three ways to add a company — type it in yourself, discover candidates from an investment idea, or look one up by ticker.

The New company button opens a modal with three tabs. All three end the same way: the company is saved to your watchlist.

Quick add

The manual path: enter the name, ticker and (optionally) location, pick a status, save. Nothing else is required — enrichment fields like exchange, sector and description stay empty until you fill them or replace the entry via an AI flow.

Discover with AI

Describe an investment idea in plain language — for example "European industrial automation companies with strong aftermarket revenue" — and the app asks an AI model for up to 12 matching public companies. Each result shows name, ticker, exchange, sector and a short description, and is flagged when it is already on your watchlist. Tick the ones you want and add them in one click.

Look up with AI

Know the company already? Enter a ticker or a name and get one full profile back — name, ticker, exchange, sector, location and description — ready to save. If the company is already on your watchlist, the modal tells you instead of creating a duplicate.

Choosing the AI provider

Both AI tabs share a provider selector with two options:

ProviderModel
Geminigemini-2.5-flash-lite
OpenAIgpt-4o-mini
AI results come from the model's general knowledge, not a live market data feed. Always verify details like the exchange or ticker before trading decisions.
